I have a 32″ Samsung LE32R87BDX/XEU. When I watch TV using my cable box (virgin media) the picture looks very pixelated even though TV is HD up to 720. Also when I try it on my PS3 its still pixelated and I use HDMI !!! Please help.Yes it is true HD. Also I returned TV and they gave me a new one with the same problem. I also tried using different HDMI cable but same problem.

Did you setup the TV to the right HD resolution settings?
Read the TVs manual that came with it.

How close are you sitting to the TV? If you are sitting too close, then it doesn’t matter if your TV can produce 1080p, it will still look like the image is poor.
For 32 inches, you should be sitting between 4 to 8 feet away from your television.

I would guess you have too low of a signal going to your cable box. When the signal gets too low and the picture information for a particular image is interrupted, the digital box will display the last good picture information available. This can result in the image freezing or the parts that aren’t coming through to be pixelated.
You might have a setup function on the cable box that allows you to see the signal level coming into the box. Or, you can call the cable company’s customer service reps and they can walk you through the procedure, if there is one. If they can’t help you figure out the problem, you can set up a service call, where they will go through your cable system and verify that you’re getting correct signals to the cable box.
