Virgin Media Cable TV Problems?

I keep getting problems like channels changing by themselves and error messages on the screen. The engineers say its because I have low energy lightbulbs and a plasma TV. Apparently even when switched of they give out a frequency the same as the cable box uses and this interferes with it. Has anyone any views on this as I think its just a cop out for the faults.

Why is the Picture on my TV So Pixelated ?

I have a 32″ Samsung LE32R87BDX/XEU. When I watch TV using my cable box (virgin media) the picture looks very pixelated even though TV is HD up to 720. Also when I try it on my PS3 its still pixelated and I use HDMI !!! Please help.Yes it is true HD. Also I returned TV and they gave me a new one with the same problem. I also tried using different HDMI cable but same problem.
