    1. Firstly, you need to buy a freesat box - price is around £50 for a normal box or £120 for a High Definition capable box. You can buy them from Argos, John Lewis etc.

      I think there are cheaper satellite boxes (£30-£40) available from Maplin, and possibly from supermarkets like Aldi and Lidl - these receive the same range of channels, but they aren’t part of the freesat scheme, so they don’t have the freesat EPG (Electronic Programme Guide).

      Whichever type of box you buy, you also need to connect an extra cable to the Sky dish (there should be 2 spare output sockets on the dish) and wire it through to the dish input socket on your new box. You can do this yourself (maybe £10-£15 for the cable, plugs, cleats, etc.) or get it done professionally (probably somewhere between £50 and £100).
